TROLL can read and write data to/from the following format:
DISK, TROLLDB (binary), FAME (binary, for interfacing with FAME), FORMDATA (text, compatible with TROLL Mainframe format), FORMOLD, MEMDB, TESTBIN1 (Binary, for UNIX and DOS/Windows compatibility), TSD (for interfacing with AREMOS), TSPLOAD (for interfacing E-VIEWS), WKS/WK1 and CSV (for import/export with spreadsheet) Moreover, after some additional development in C, any other datatype can be added to TROLL.

One of the ADDONs produced and offered by HENDYPLAN is the 'Information System Manager' module, that comprises calls to ODBC-drivers, making the use of standard SQL possible. HENDYPLAN has succesfully plugged drivers to ORACLE, SQL-SERVER, MySQL and MS-ACCESS. This interface forwards any SQL-query to the RDBMS engine and recovers error codes in case of any trouble. It is possible to run requests one by one or by groups. This latter feature is avalaible using the TROLL Programming Language in Macros, or via an interface.

What are the available periodicities in TROLL software ?

TROLL offers a wide range of periodicities: annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly following ISO 8601 normalisation, daily, business-daily, hourly, minutely, secondly, or arbitrary periodicities fixed by the user. There is also a possibilty to jump in the sequence of values. For instance, a weekly date -jumping by 7- starting a Wednesday will automatically jump to the next Wednesday in the following week, with no not-available values generated in between.

Can I automatically create many customized table and graphs?

TROLL can generate neat and elaborate graphs and tables destined for an integrated report. The graphs can be either saved as files, or copy/pasted to other applications. The tables are either saved as text/html files, or .XLS files with possibly sophisticated and flexible lay-out/design. If you are interested in daily producing a few hundreds tables and graphs, it is very easy. If the profile is correctly defined, a double click on the TROLL icon might be enough! Very fast for your information system!

A detailed and useful User Guide explains in more than 10 chapters how to start working with TROLL software (This document written by Intex Solutions is available in HTML and Adobe formats. HENDYPLAN has a long experience of training TROLL users, and a manual of the trainee is distributed during the course. Theoretical background of estimation, test procedures and simulation are included in the TROLL Reference Manuel, as well as references to the literature.
